Easter: CAN Calls For Unity, Prayers

The Chairman Christian Association Of Nigeria (CAN) , Rev. Dr. Moses Kayode James, JP, has called on christians in the State to intensify prayers for political leaders for God’s direction.

He made the called on Monday at the Easter peaceful rally for all christians in the State at the trade fair square, Sokoto.

With the theme “He Is Risen”, James emphasized the significance of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, citing Matthew 28:6, and encouraged believers to hold onto hope despite challenges faced in Nigeria.

He called for unity among Christians, saying, “Let our unity be louder than our differences. Let our faith be stronger than our fears.”

Kayode also urged the government to take action to address insecurity, saying, “Leaders in government at various levels should work harder and sincerely to stop the insecurity in the land. Security is a necessity. It is our right!”

He commended the efforts of all who made the event possible and encouraged the crowd to activate the power of resurrection for peace in Sokoto State and healing for the nation.

The event brought together Christians from across Sokoto State to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ and pray for peace in Nigeria.
