The Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and two other governors are to inaugurate multi-billion naira projects executed by the administration of Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State.
AbdulRazaq, who is also the Governor of Kwara state, alongside the Sokoto State Governor, Dr. Ahmed Aliyu and the Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni would inaugurate the projects on 1st and 5th May, 2026.
The Katsina State Commissioner for Information and Culture, Dr Bala Salisu Zango, disclosed this on Wednesday while briefing journalists at the Government House Press Centre, Katsina.
He said Governor Buni of Yobe State would unveil the reconstructed Ingawa–Dutsi–Shargalle road network at about 9:00 a.m, while Governor Aliyu will inaugurate the Yandaki–Shinkafi–Kofar Sauro Junction road project within the Katsina metropolis at 5:00 p.m on May 1, 2026.
According to him, Governor AbdulRazaq will, on May 5, 2026, inaugurate a Model Secondary School in Radda community, Charanchi Local Government Area, at about 11:00 a.m.
In a related development, the state government has also announced plans for the turbaning of three newly appointed District Heads on May 2, 2026, at the palace of the Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman.
Among those to be turbaned is Mohammed Dikko Radda, son of the governor, who will assume the title of District Head of Radda in Charanchi Local Government Area. The position was previously held by his father before he became governor.
Also to be turbaned is Ahmed Abdulmumini Kabir Usman, son of the Katsina Emir, who will be installed as District Head of Dankama in Kaita Local Government Area, as well as Alhaji Abubakar Darisu, who will become the District Head of Muduru in Mani Local Government Area of the state.
Zango added that the turbaning ceremony will feature a range of cultural and social activities, including a polo tournament, traditional Durbar displays, and a state dinner at the Government House.
He noted that a committee has been constituted to ensure the smooth and successful execution of both the project commissioning and turbaning events.
