Former President Muhammadu Buhari has donated a big bull and 10 bags of rice to National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members serving in Daura, Katsina State.
Buhari, who is currently in London on vacation, made the donation through the Danmadamin Daura, Alhaji Musa Haro.
The state NYSC Coordinator, Ibrahim Saidu, who received the donations, said Buhari has been assisting Corps members during and after his tenure as President.
Represented by the NYSC Local government Inspector Daura LGA, Nurudeen Salisu, Saidu said the act of kindness reflects the former President’s continued commitment to supporting the corps members in the community, even after leaving office.
He said: “It has been a tradition to celebrate with. Corps Members when ever the former President Comes home for Sallah throughout the time he was in office as the President and Commander in Chief of Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
He prayed fervently for good health and the blessings of Allah to be upon the ex-president and his immediate families.
