A political support group, Tinubu/Dikko Guaranteed (TDG) 2027 has unveiled a 10-point strategy aimed at mobilising grassroots support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and Katsina State Governor Dikko Umar Radda in the 2027 general elections.
The group, which held its inaugural state steering committee meeting in Katsina on Tuesday, said it was established to complement the efforts of the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Engr. Muttaqha Rabe Darma, in promoting the achievements of the federal and state governments ahead of the next elections.
Addressing journalists after the inaugural meeting, the State Coordinator of the TDG 2027, Arc. Faisal Jafar, said the association had adopted key strategies that would drive its mobilisation and advocacy activities across the 34 local government areas of the state.
He explained that the strategies include town hall meetings, door-to-door campaigns, media engagement, youth and women empowerment programmes, voter education, and the deployment of trained ambassadors at ward and polling unit levels of the state.
He said the association would also establish a data-driven system to monitor voter sentiment, coordinator performance and create a rapid-response mechanism to address internal disputes and opposition challenges.
The coordinator expressed confidence that the Tinubu and Radda administrations had implemented policies and projects that had positively impacted the lives of citizens and residents of the state.
He enumerated the 15,000 Renewed Hope Housing projects, the establishment of the Katsina State Community Watch Corps, investments in agriculture and irrigation infrastructure, healthcare upgrades, youth empowerment as some of Tinubu and Radda’s achievements.
He stressed that the achievements recorded by the Tinubu and Radda administrations since assumption of office in 2023 had provided a strong basis for seeking a renewed mandate in the 2027 elections.
Jafar, however, disclosed that the operational structure of the TDG comprises a state steering committee, local government coordinators, ward coordinators and polling unit coordinators, all of whom would serve as ambassadors of the association.
He said: “We are not just a political group, we are ambassadors of progress. The people of Katsina have seen tangible change under President Tinubu and Governor Radda administrations.
“Our job is to ensure every voter knows this and turns out to support them in 2027. We called our supporters, residents and political stakeholders across the state to support our campaign for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Dikko Umaru Radda.”
