The Sokoto State Governor, Ahmed Aliyu, on Friday evening, hosted the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to an Iftar gathering, where he sought more support from the party’s leadership.
During the gathering, Governor Aliyu reaffirmed his commitment to respecting the party’s opinion in steering the affairs of the state. He vowed to continue delivering the dividends of democracy to the people.
In a statement by the Governor ‘s Chief Press Secretary, Abubakar Bawa, said the governor commended the support of party faithful towards his administration and urged them to remain steadfast in their commitment to the progress and development of the state.
Governor Aliyu assured the party leadership that his government would continue to initiate and implement policies that would benefit the people and fast-track the needed development in the state.
He specifically commended the APC leader in the state, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, for his fatherly advice, which has helped greatly in achieving the successes recorded by the present administration.
The Iftar gathering was seen as an opportunity for the governor to strengthen ties with the party leadership and ensure continued support for his administration’s policies and initiatives.
