The ongoing power rotation dispute between Agatu and Apa Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Benue State has taken a new turn, with constituents calling for respect for established agreements and equitable representation.
At the center of the controversy is Hon. Ojotu Ojema, representing Agatu in the 10th National Assembly. Constituents from Apa LGA are urging Ojema to respect the power rotation understanding that has guided the political landscape in the constituency.
The Apa constituency feels marginalized by the current representation imbalance and is seeking a more equitable arrangement. “We are not asking for too much,” said a constituent. “We just want our voices to be heard and our interests represented fairly.”
Constituents are calling on Ojema and his supporters to engage in constructive dialogue to address concerns and work towards a mutually beneficial solution.
The power rotation dispute has sparked a heated debate, with many calling for a return to the established agreement. “Respecting the power rotation agreement is crucial for maintaining harmony and ensuring equitable representation,” said a political analyst.
As the controversy continues to unfold, constituents remain hopeful that a resolution will be reached soon.
