EFCC Arrests Three for Alleged Internet Fraud in Uyo

Three alleged internet fraudsters are currently being held at the holding facility of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Uyo Zonal Directorate.

The all-male suspects were arrested on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, during an early morning sting operation at Mbierebe, Stadium Road, Akpasak Estate, and Oron Road, all in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

According to a statement on the commission’s official X handle, items recovered from the suspects include four mobile phones, a desktop computer, a laptop and two cars.

The Commission explained that the three suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
