Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, is currently presiding over a high-level security meeting at the Government House, Katsina.
The session, which is still ongoing, is focused on reviewing the state’s current security situation and evaluating ongoing operations in affected areas.
In attendance are senior heads and representatives of key security agencies, including the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Air Force, Department of State Services (DSS), Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigeria Customs Service, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and other Heads of Various Security Agencies of the State.
Also participating in the meeting are the Secretary to the Government of the State (SGS), Abdullahi Garba Faskari; the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir; the Principal Private Secretary, Abdullahi Aliyu Turaji; and Local Government Chairmen from areas affected by security challenges.
Prominent religious leaders and representatives from the Katsina and Daura Emirates are equally in attendance, reflecting the administration’s inclusive and community-driven approach to addressing security concerns.
Deliberations are centered on sustaining recent gains in the fight against insecurity, improving coordination among security agencies, enhancing intelligence sharing, and strengthening collaboration with traditional and community institutions.
The Governor is expected to outline fresh directives and strategies aimed at consolidating peace, ensuring stability, and protecting the lives and property of all citizens across Katsina State.
