Army Vows to Protect Corps Members in Sokoto

Major General Ibikunle A Ajose, General Officer Commanding (GOC) 8 Division Nigerian Army Sokoto, has reaffirmed the army’s commitment to supporting the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme in Sokoto State.

During a courtesy visit from NYSC Sokoto State Coordinator Usman Yakubu Yaro and his team, Ajose assured them of continued protection and security for corps members.

He pledged to enhance security measures, including special surveillance and patrols on key roads.

The GOC’s assurance underscores the army’s dedication to safeguarding corps members and facilitating the smooth operation of the NYSC scheme in Sokoto State.

On his part NYSC Sokoto State Coordinator, Usman Yakubu Yaro, appreciated the continued support of the GOC to the scheme

“I am here to express our gratitude especially on the ongoing renovation you are undertaking at our orientation camp , it is really a timely intervention, which appreciated by every lover of the scheme in the state”, he added.
