A political stakeholder, Hon. Markus Jonathan Umbugu, has congratulated Engr. Tony Bala Shammah (TBS) following his victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Akwanga/Nasarawa-Eggon/Wamba Federal Constituency seat in Nasarawa State.
Shammah emerged as the APC candidate after winning the party’s primary election held on Saturday, securing the ticket to contest for the House of Representatives seat in the 2027 general elections.
In a congratulatory message issued to journalists on Sunday, Umbugu described the victory as well-deserved, attributing it to Shammah’s dedication, leadership qualities, and widespread acceptance among party members and constituents.
According to him, “Congratulations to my dear friend and political associate, Engr. Tony Bala Shammah (TBS), on your well-deserved victory as the winner of the Akwanga/Nasarawa-Eggon/Wamba Federal Constituency APC primary election held on Saturday.”
He added that Shammah’s emergence reflected the confidence and trust reposed in him by party stakeholders and the people of the constituency.
“Your emergence is a clear testament to your dedication, leadership qualities, and the confidence the people and party stakeholders have in your capacity to serve effectively,” Umbugu stated.
He expressed optimism that Shammah’s representation would attract progress and development to the constituency.
“I am confident that your representation will bring progress, unity, and purposeful development to the constituency,” he said.
Umbugu also prayed for wisdom and success for the APC candidate as he prepares for the 2027 general elections.
“May this victory mark the beginning of greater accomplishments in your political journey. Wishing you success and wisdom as you prepare for the task ahead,” he added.
