The Alumni Association of Nasarawa State University Keffi has donated medical consumables worth millions of naira to support healthcare delivery services at the university’s medical centre.
The donation was made by the Alumni President, Barr. Nuhu John Egya, to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, when he led a high-powered delegation of his officials and other stakeholders to her office in Keffi local government area of the state.
The President explained that the donation includes some essential medical consumables needed for the daily running of the medical centre.
He said the gesture was part of the association’s commitment to give back to their alma mater in support of the health needs of the university community.
“The items include gloves of different kinds, syringes, testing kits for HIV/AIDS, plasters, spirits, assorted drugs, amongst others, which the list is endless,” Egya added.

Barr. Egya further explained that the donation was the first phase of such many goodies to come in a strategic partnership to enhance the living standards of the University community.
In a symbolic presentation of the items to the Vice Chancellor, the Alumni President solicited for more partnership and blessings from the University management for its members to do well in their respective fields of endeavour.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the University management, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, expressed satisfaction with the positive steps taken by the association to strengthen collaborations with the management, saying the new leadership of the association has redefined the true essence of their existence.
While assuring of proper utilisation of the items donated for the benefits of its users, the Vice Chancellor noted that her doors are wide open for more collaborations from the Association and other well-meaning individuals, philanthropists, and corporate organisations.
Prof. Liman, tasked the Alumni EXCOs to develop a digital data bank of its members across the country and beyond so as to leverage their untapped resources for the benefit of the Association and the University.
The Vice Chancellor however encouraged the Alumni to fast-track the completion of its secretariat project to provide befitting accommodation for effective operation in providing quality leadership for the members.
